Sir Alex Ferguson has once again provided backing to Manchester United manager David Moyes, who has come in for intense criticism in the last few weeks.

Moyes, who was appointed as the replacement for Ferguson in the summer, has been unable to achieve consistency with his results.

His tactics have also not been able to get wins when previously Manchester United have no trouble in doing so.
