Manchester United have had good success under interim manager Ole Gunnar SolksJaer as the Old Trafford outfit moved into the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday.  Latest reports from Italy claim that the Red Devils could be set to sign PSV star Hirving Lozano.

According to the reports Manchester United are in the race to sign the Mexico international alongside Napoli in what could be a bidding war in the summer. Calcio Napoli 24 claims that both clubs are ready to launch a bid for the 23-year-old winger.

It is understood that Lozano is valued at around £52 million by the Dutch side and United are willing to meet the valuation price of the player. Lozano is regarded as the star player of the club and has been exceptional since moving to PSV in 2017.

Lightning quick with an eye for goal the PSV winger was a major part of their title-winning run last season and carried this brilliant form into the World Cup. He scored the opening goal for Mexico at the 2018 World Cup which turned out to be the winner against Germany.

This season he has been brilliant contributing immensely to the Eredivisie leaders who have managed to stay ahead of a star-studded Ajax team on the league table. He has scored 18 goals so far for the Dutch side and has been their major playmaker with 9 assists in all competitions.

Manchester United are looking to bolster their options on the left side of the attack as big money signing Alexis Sanchez has failed to hit the ground running at the club. The Chilean is rumoured to be on his way out in the summer as the club looks to rebuild ahead of next season.
