The ex-England international stated that his former club should go after Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane or Paris Saint Germain (PSG) player Marquinhos to boost their centre back department. Frenchman Varane has been linked with a move to Old Trafford with reports claiming that he plans to leave Real Madrid this summer. Varane is focused on the Euro 2020 tournament and his future at Real Madrid is expected to be decided afterwards. With the sack of Carlo Ancelotti, Bayern is searching for a long term replacement.
